Apps integration
Business Central Apps based on your needs.
Business Central Apps based on your needs.
We always work with standard Business Central as our starting point – at the same time, we’ve made it our specialty to find exactly the vendor-independent apps that fit our customers’ needs. Because no two customers or businesses are the same.
This means that the app that is perfect for one customer may not be perfect for another. One of our most important tasks is to find and assess apps based on the individual customer.
All apps are assessed on the basis of solid experience and professional ballast – and can be fully integrated into your Business Central solution. Often apps can be integrated so that the user does not realize that they are using a different app in their daily work.
Assessing individual apps can be a daunting task if you don’t know what to look for. The risk of making the wrong choice is high because the selection on Microsoft Appsource is already so extensive and confusing.
We have the experience and professional ballast to evaluate apps. Based on our experience, we have set up a number of criteria against which we evaluate each app. This way we ensure that we can stand behind our recommendations.

When working with Business Central, questions about apps quickly arise: Which solutions create real value—and which are just “nice to have”? How do you avoid being locked into a single vendor? And what do you do if an app is no longer maintained or causes problems during upgrades?
Here, we’ve compiled answers to some of the questions we most frequently encounter in our conversations with customers.
1. How do we figure out which apps we actually need—and which ones are just “nice to have”?
The most important thing is to start with your business—not with AppSource. That’s why we begin by examining your processes, challenges, and needs: Where are you lacking functionality? Where is there too much manual work? Where is the risk of errors greatest?
Based on this, we assess whether the solution can be implemented in standard Business Central, using one or more apps—or through an integration with an external system. The goal is not to use as many apps as possible, but to use the right apps that create tangible value in your day-to-day operations.
2. We’re afraid of making the “wrong” choice and getting locked into a specific app or provider—how can we avoid that?
This is a genuine concern—and one of the reasons we work with vendor-independent apps. We aren’t tied to any one specific provider, but we always evaluate multiple options based on a set of fixed criteria: quality, number of installations, update frequency, support, cost, technical architecture, etc.
3. What happens if an app is no longer maintained—or doesn’t keep up with new versions of Business Central?
That’s exactly one of the things we pay extra attention to. We continuously monitor how the apps we recommend are updated and maintained. If an app no longer meets our requirements, we’ll discuss alternatives with you well in advance, before it becomes an operational issue.
In addition, we plan upgrades and tests so that we can identify any issues between apps and Business Central before they affect your users.
4. Can apps make our solution slow or cause problems during upgrades?
Yes, they can—if you just keep piling on layer after layer of apps without any oversight. Our approach is to keep your solution as “clean” as possible:
5. We’re already using some apps—will we need to switch to different ones if we partner with you?
Not necessarily. The first step is always a joint review: What apps do you have? What do you use them for? Do they work well in practice—or are there any challenges?
If the apps you currently use are stable and meet our quality criteria, we can often easily build on them. If not, we’ll give you our honest assessment of whether it’s time to look for other solutions—and why.
6. What if there isn’t an app that exactly meets our needs?
Then we’ll explore other options. Sometimes your needs can be met by combining standard features in Business Central in a more efficient way. Other times, the solution is an integration with an external line-of-business system—or a custom extension where we develop the missing functionality. It’s also possible that AI or chatbots can handle your task today.
Our starting point is always the same: to find the solution that best suits your business—not necessarily the one that happens to be at the top of AppSource.
